3 digital side hustles which can boost your income

This past year has been particularly hard on a lot of us when it comes to money. The pandemic has meant working from home, losing jobs or maybe not being able to earn at all, depending on your profession. Whether you are self-employed or you are just looking for ways to boost your income, there are lots of things you can do with a computer. The possibilities are endless really and how much you can make depends on what you’re able to do as well as the time you put in. However, as a side hustle, you don’t want anything that might get in the way of how you make your regular income. Here are a few ideas for you:

Sell a product

Are you a creative person? Maybe you are really good with computer programs and are able to design things. Setting up a shop somewhere like Etsy could be a great way for you to sell your designs and to make some extra money. This could be anything from prints for people’s homes, stickers and decals or maybe you can create your own art work. You can do all of this in your own time and sell as much or as little as you have time to make. If you’re looking for some inspiration you can look at a fancy fonts website here.

Become a virtual assistant

If you are already a blogger earning money then you might want to think about other ways to make the most of what you do. You’ll already have plenty of useful skills such as writing posts, replying to emails, sourcing work and maybe scheduling your social media. All of these things are tasks that other people or businesses want to outsource to someone else.

A virtual assistant can help other people, bloggers and businesses with tasks that they just might not have time for. Do some research before starting out and be realistic about what you can offer. There’s no point offering Pinterest services or writing long posts if they’re not things you are comfortable with doing. Also, think about whether you want to offer your services to businesses as well as other bloggers. If this is something you want to do then it might be worth gathering some testimonials from people you have already worked with.

Join survey sites

Survey sites are something I have been using online for many years now. It’s quite well known that survey sites aren’t the best payers but they are a nice way to earn a little bit of extra money online and every little bit helps.

What you get out of survey sites depends on a few things really. You can end up getting screened out of a lot of surveys as they might be looking for people from a specific demographic to answer the questions. You might be the wrong age, they might want someone with children or they might only want men to answer. This can be quite frustrating but if you prepare yourself to spend some time ‘not’ answering the surveys then it won’t be so disappointing when you get screened out.
