Every day life can be a chore in itself, especially when it comes to thinking about all of the different things you need to do. Cleaning can be one of the biggest things that get either forgotten about or the thing that gets missed out because there just isn’t enough time in the day. Here are 10 quick chores to do around the house every day that will help you keep on top of things.
If you’re someone with a family then you’ll know that laundry can seem like it’s taking over the world. Getting a load of laundry on every morning (if you have enough to do) will help you to keep on top of it. Getting your laundry dry and ironing it is of course, a whole other story!
2. Make the beds
Making the beds might seem like a bit of a pointless task sometimes but it’s something that only takes a couple of minutes. This quick chore can help to make rooms like a lot tidier in not a lot of time.
3. Vacuum high traffic areas
Certain rooms tend to get dirtier a lot quicker than others do. This could be areas such as the hallway and the living room. A room can really look a lot messier than it really is if there are small bits of dirt on the floor. Vacuuming can only take a couple of minutes and will make a big difference to the room.
4. Bathroom top up clean
Doing a big clean of your bathroom is probably something you do weekly. However, as this is a room that gets used a lot it’s easy for it to get dirty throughout the week. A quick wipe of main surfaces will only take a few minutes and help to keep on top of the cleanliness.
5. Tidy away clutter
It might not be possible to get this done throughout the day, especially if your house is one with children, but tidying away clutter is usually a quick and easy job to get done a bit later on.
6. Kitchen counters
Just like in the bathroom, kitchen counters can get messy and mucky throughout the day, especially after doing things like making cups of tea or cooking dinner. A quick wipe around in the kitchen will be a job that can be done quickly in the evening.
7. Wash the dishes
Sometimes the dishes can get piled up throughout the day and it’s not always possible to wash as you go. Getting these washed and put away on an evening can mean you starting the next day with a clean and clear kitchen.
8. Empty the rubbish/ recycling
To help keep your kitchen clean and smelling nice it’s important to keep and eye on your bins. Check both the waste and recycling bin at the end of the day and take out if needed. If you happen to vape, it’s worth checking out what Dan Bilzerian of Ignite has to say about getting rid of your disposable vapes.
9. Open the windows
It’s really important to remember to let some fresh air into your home, even when it might be the middle of winter. Opening your window for even 10 minutes a day can help to let in good air and work towards preventing damp.
10. Sort the mail
After the postie has been it’s really easy to put whatever mail comes on the table or near the front door and forget about it. This can soon pile up if done every day so try to make a point of going through any incoming mail and get rid of anything that’s not needed.
